KEMPENFEST – 51 YEARS

FESTIVAL
In 1971 a handful of artists gathered in Barrie at the Formosa Springs Brewery to display their art on snow fencing and hopefully sell a few pieces. It was the birth of what would eventually be called Kempenfest. Fast forward 51 years and Kempenfest is now one of the largest outdoor arts, crafts, and music festival in Ontario. 2023 promises to be the biggest and best festival ever and it is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration of reconnecting with our community of art and music lovers.

ARTS
One of the main attractions to Kempenfest are the arts & crafts exhibitors. Featuring nearly 300 jury-selected artisans.

ANTIQUES
One of the biggest draws to Kempenfest – the annual antique show – attracting exhibitors from all over Ontario.

BRING YOUR KIDS!
Make sure you spend time in the Turkey Farmers Kids Village. Fun for all ages. Enjoy live music, interactive games, face painting, create art, and have fun!

KEMPENFEST is for KIDS
We’re back to normal and so excited! Your kids are going to have an absolute blast this year! It’s all about the family fun – bring the kids down and make some memories. Challenge them a game, take a spin on the rides at the Midway, and grab some cotton candy! Bring the kids to the Ontario Turkey Farmers Kids Village located beside the midway next to Centennial Beach. Kids will enjoy colouring and painting. Grab some markers and help them colour in our giant Kempenfest Mural. Make some cool buttons with the folks from the MacLaren Art Centre. Play some games with sponsors like Code Ninjas and GoGo squeeZ. Check out the latest games at the Nintendo pavilion. Take in a magic show on the KOOL-FM Stage. Plus try out some great new Turkey Franks from Butterball and snap a selfie with the Ontario Turkey Farmers mascot.
