• World Class International Show Jumping–the ATCO Electric Six Bar:
The ATCO Six Bar course is built with six vertical jumps in a straight line ascending in height. Each horse/rider combination is required to jump the course until they knock down a rail. In the first round the fences are set at 1.35m, 1.40m, 1.45m, 1.50m, 1.55m and 1.60m. The second and third rounds each jump is raised. In the fourth and fifth round the course designer will move the fences to 1.65m, 1.70m and 1.90m and eliminate three fences. There is NO time component. After each round all ties for first place come back for the next round. The catch: each time they return the heights of the jumps are raised. The height of the final jump can reach the record height of 2.12m (6.9ft) set in 2004 by Jessica Kurten! This continues until there is a winner, however only to a maximum of five rounds, and ties have happened! Add the darkening Alberta sky and 30 stadium flood lights illuminating the International Ring to the equation and you have a dramatic Show Jumping event like no other!
